My first day off and it was great!! I spent the afternoon shopping (turns out the malls were still there, even though I hadn't visited in so long - who knew?) and then the evening at the Fringe - fun!

- The Provence Trilogy (Peter Mayle) - Southern France as I had never read it before. This is the literary equivalent of eating a whole block of chocolate; ahh, the delicious decadence.
- Long Way Round, Long Way Down, Race to Dakar, By Any Means - a series of books by Ewan McGregory and Charley Boorman, outlining their adventures all over the world - a fun indulgent read that makes you want to pack your bags and hit the road looking for adventure
- The Time Traveller's Wife (Audrey Niffenegger) - a brilliant love story for those who don't savour the sappy stuff. Persevere past the first few pages, I promise it will be worth it!
- Tara Road (Maeve Binchy) - the heartwarming novel genre taken to new heights that I suggest will impress even the most hard nosed crime/mystery reader
